Today is International Day of the Girl Child; a day dedicated to amplifying girls’ voices and standing up for their rights.
This year’s theme is “My Voice, Our Equal Future”.
We felt it was important to give a voice to girls currently residing in refugee settlements who are just as worthy of an equal future but are met with a number of daily challenges that can make it harder to feel positive about what the future may hold.
Pasi and Devota are both refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo who are now living in the Western Ugandan refugee settlement Kyaka. We spoke with them, during a recent Research trip, about the impact a dignified menstrual solution has on their ability to reach their potential.
You can find out more about the impact our holistic Menstrual Health and Hygiene solution has on schoolgirls residing in refugee settlements here.
