In June 2019, we combined our annual Board meeting with an opportunity for the AFRIpads Board members and the AFRIpads Foundation to visit our new factory in Masaka.
The majority of our Board members have been with us from the beginning, when we were just a team of three. Therefore, showcasing our 3,000 square meter factory, which now employs over 150 women, was an unforgettable moment for AFRIpads.
For renowned Architect Konstanze Neuerberg, this was the first time she would see her innovative Factory design come to life after years of preparation.
Our guests were given a guided tour of the AFRIpads’ factory starting from our beautifully lit production areas down to the ample storage space that we now have to house all the materials.
In attendance was also a number of our partners including UNHCR, ADRA, FCA, Straight Talk Foundation and Cotton On Foundation.
We are so grateful to the AFRIpads Board members for being such a dedicated team who have been providing hands on operational and financial support since we launched in 2010.
