Our objective is to produce and distribute low-cost, washable menstrual pads to schoolgirls in rural Uganda. By providing girls with an affordable sanitary product, we aim to empower girls with the protection and confidence to attend school during their monthly period.
Our mission is to curb the high rates of menstruation-related absenteeism among primary and secondary schoolgirls in rural Africa.

Afri-Pads is a unique initiative that fuses the market-based approach of business with the social consciousness of an NGO in order to produce a sustainable product that satisfies the major challenges of menstruation as experienced by schoolgirls in rural Africa.
At Afri-Pads our goal is to sell each Afri-Pads Menstrual Kit at a cost that maintains the financial sustainability of our business, while upholding our commitment to producing a product that is affordable for an average rural schoolgirl. As such, our product price does not exceed $5 U.S. Dollars.
